1) What has been recently completed
In general: Preparing for alpha test.
Christa - Started creating the vinyl assets and the enemy assets. Putting in more time trying to figure out how to tilt the game objects as they moved down the screen so it wasn't turning them into top-down objects at the end.
Jacob - Continued to work on spawn behavior, and finding ways to check and make sure there are no enemies next to a space before placing an enemy down, so the player will always have a way around.
Hannah - Started to create the game sprites and other visual assets. Really researching the game's aesthetic and feel.
2) What each person is currently working on
Christa - Working on a mix of the code and the assets. Helping whoever needed it/whoever is stuck with Unity or programming. Focusing on implementing sprites into the game.
Jacob - Working more on the spawners and the overall flow of the game. Continuing to refine the code for allowing a user to have a set path.
Hannah -Working on creating assets and background images and color scheme of the game.
3) What features/ideas or on the backlog are to be done next
-Moving the enemies along the row.
-Implementing shield power up
-Refining the beat of the music for the game
4) Analysis of playtesting (probably as a separate page)
No recent playtest, still working off the feedback from the digital prototype.
5) Obstacles that are blocking development
Creating a path with the spawners.
6) Reflection on game and process. What is working, what is not working. This represents your work-in-progress
What's working - With some assets and game development coming along its cool to see the how the feel of the game is.
What's not working - The spawning path.
