1) What has been recently completed
Christa - Worked on the postmortem presentation and helped Jacob in trying to re-add the side moving enemies. Started looking into sound effects.
Jacob - Worked on the postmortem presentation. Added side moving enemies at least back into 3 lanes of the game. Fixed sprite rotation. Began to create a template to level design each # of lanes.
Hannah - Led working on the postmortem presentation. Working on instruction page. Keeping a list of all assets we have and need.
2) What each person is currently working on
Christa - Designing the levels with 5 & 6 lanes for the game. Working on sound effects for the game. Looking for music for levels responsible for.
Jacob - Continuing to refine spawn behavior and bug fixes. Looking for more music for game.
Hannah - Planning the video for the presentation on Thursday. Designing the levels with 3 & 4 lanes for the game. Looking for music for the levels responsible for. Adding final touches to new assets (boombox, iPod, shield, instruction screen). Adding new assets to the game.
3) What features/ideas or on the backlog are to be done next
- Level design/player chooses number of lanes and is met with a scripted level
- More music in the game
4) Analysis of playtesting (probably as a separate page)
No recent playtest.
5) Obstacles that are blocking development
- Continuing to be faced with bugs from the beat code. Issues with some objects spawning a lane ahead in designed levels. Trying to get the team on the same page with the programming.
6) Reflection on game and process.
What's working - Slowly getting our game back on track and being able to take a step back with planning out the levels.
What's not working - Feeling like rushing to get the game to work before the final deadline. Working on the same code can also be difficult with 2 people working at once, leading to imbalance in workloads.
